The freedom to create light and shade, for the lips of your dreams ♡
Lip highlighting and contouring colors
Control light and shade, for the lips of your dreams
● Lip highlighting and contouring colors in a pencil format. These items allow you to create the perfect lips
by using a highlight color to add light and a contouring color to add shade—just refer to the diagrams showing
how to use them.
● Choose from two highlightings and two contouring shades according to how plump you want your lips to look
and your skin tone.
● Naturally, you can use each on its own, but we also recommend teaming a highlight color with a contouring color.
【Highlight color】
■If you want your lips to look plumper
Draw a V outside the peaks of the Cupid’s bow, following the line of your lips.
If you want to emphasize the Cupid’s bow, draw a deep V at a sharp angle, but if not, we recommend drawing a shallower V with a gentler curve.
■If you want your lips to look bigger
Apply your preferred lip color a little beyond your natural lip line.
After applying lip color, draw a V outside the peaks of the Cupid’s bow, following the line of your lips. Also ideal for making your philtrum look shorter ♡
*Philtrum: The space between the base of the nose and the edge of the upper lip
【Contouring color】
■If you want your lips to look plumper
Apply contouring to the central third of your lower lip line—apply outside the lip line, following the line of the plumpest part of your lower lip.
■If you want the corners of your mouth to turn upward
Draw a short diagonal line upward from each corner of your mouth, as though extending the actual corners. The key point is to ensure the angle and length of the line look like a natural upturn when the actual corners rise each time you smile.
■If you want your philtrum to look shorter
Add a small amount of shading in the middle of your philtrum, just below your nose, to make your nose and lips look closer together, which will have the effect of making your philtrum look shorter ♪
